A Humbling Experience

Hello everyone, welcome back to youth fusion weblog. Its been awhile since i've added an entry, so here's an account of my recent encounters with God's gentle rebuke during my QT and from conversations i've had with godly leaders above me. Quite a humbling experience for me cuz i tend to have many opinions on a wide spectrum of topics, and am ever so eager to justify those opinions whenever given a chance, even for those that i hardly understand.

It's taken from Matthew 12:33~37. Jesus said:
"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
And also...out of my mouth i sing praise to God, and before you can say 'Nebuchanezzar', I'll most probably have said something to irritate someone, judge someone else, gossip or take offense easily and curse someone, especially on a tiny mrt cabin packed with inconsiderate commuters. I believe it is quite serious to neglect the discipline of guarding our tongues and just speak our mind without hesitation, because words have a huge potential either to encourage or to hurt. How den can we live a life above reproach? How den can we be salt and light to this dark dark world we live in? Thank God that He's forever faithful and patient, and yet so loving that He will not allow us to remain in our foolishness. And i am humbled once again.
